For when you really don’t want a 4Runner or a Jeep

For when I don’t have a lot of money, but want to look like I do during my annual ski trip.

I think its a NP. any wagoner or land cruiser or g wagon remotely close to as clean will bring the same money. this one is rare and beautiful I just don't trust rover reliability. also this is a nice alternative for a defender

The amount of want is overriding judgement for price.

NP.

I want that a whole bunch, but that’s a bit steep. The fact it isn’t far from my mother’s house is pretty tempting as well....

+1 for photography.

Looks like a nice specimen.

Seems like a heap of money...

Oh you got it, my dream rig is a 2 door with an Isuzu diesel swap kit. They are pretty.

They are not cheap find or to maintain, the best thing to do is Isuzu diesel swap it, there are kits in the UK. It’s not really a bad price given how rare they are and this one seems properly maintained. I’d still yank the original motor.

2/300tdi aren’t that bad, especially compared to the V8. And the Isuzu 4JB1T is slow as balls and still pretty noisy (not that the rover isn’t), albeit incredibly reliable. If the rover mill dies, then go for the Isuzu.

NP for sure. Common, mediocre-at-best condition, 4 door examples often go for around 10k. This thing looks immaculate and if it truly had all that work done and needs nothing then it’s a steal. 2 doors are cool and incredibly rare in the US, then throw in the diesel with a manual. Hhnnnngggg.

Well I have two old cars and my DD and more truck like vehicle is newer. If I do get the chance to build a better AWD vehicle it’s either this or a VW Syncro clone with a Subie or diesel swap. I work in show biz and it would be nice to have something to sleep in if we do all nighters a couple hours from home.
